CHRISTMAS CLASSICS AT THE RITZ, THIRSK...

For this year's Christmas break the Ritz cinema will bring some further festive family cheer by hosting classic films.

Jan Marshall, chair of the Film Selection Committee explained "We have received requests to show classic films which we hope to meet with our Christmas selections. It's difficult for a small cinema like us to obtain the big Christmas films early enough to be able to show them during the festive period (restrictions are in place from the film distributors).

However, we wanted this year, our 30th anniversary, to do something special so we decided to pick three of the films that are deemed Christmas favourites".
